Kicking off early 2025, our team took on a massive logistical assignment: setting up a complete Mining Camp Accommodation system deep in a remote region of Malaysia. The location brought two major hurdles—intense tropical heat and the sheer scale of the operation. The client needed a Temporary House solution that could go up fast, fit a tight budget, and comfortably house a workforce of over 900 people.

The Strategic Choice: Why K House? For a project of this magnitude (accommodating 900+ staff), cost-efficiency was just as critical as speed. We deployed our Prefabricated K House series, which is known as the most economic type of prefab house on the market.

Dormitories: We configured multi-story K House units to maximize ground space. All steel parts were welded and painted beforehand, allowing us to assemble the structures quickly using simple bolts, screws, and rivets.

Centralized Facilities: The layout connects the management's Prefab House Office directly with a high-capacity canteen and ablution blocks. This centralized design minimized travel time across the muddy site, ensuring smoother daily operations for the massive workforce.

Beating the Tropical Heat Worker welfare was non-negotiable. Malaysia gets incredibly hot and humid, so standard shipping containers weren't going to cut it. Our K House design allowed us to customize the wall panels for better thermal performance. The Dormitory units were fitted with enhanced ventilation systems and insulated sandwich panels. This created a spacious, cool Accommodation environment where workers could effectively recover their physical strength and reduce fatigue after a long shift—a crucial factor for maintaining productivity in such a harsh climate.

Speed Meets Durability Getting materials to a remote rainforest site is a nightmare. But the Prefab K House flat-pack design made logistics much simpler. Because every part is pre-fabricated according to design requirements, on-site assembly was incredibly fast. We actually finished the entire Mining Camp—from foundation to electrical fittings—ahead of schedule.
